Student Parliament of the Faculty (FSP)
How can I reach you?
The best way to reach the student parliament is via email: fsp@math-cs.uni-goettingen.de
What is the student parliament?
First and foremost, the student parliament elects the Student Council of the Faculty (FSR) and thus sets the agenda for the legislative period. It supervises and gives instructions to the student council.
The student parliament is directly elected by the students of the faculty.
What exactly are the tasks of the FSP?
As already mentioned above, the student parliament elects the student council. It issues the budget, establishes or changes the Fachgruppen, gives instructions to the student council, monitors compliance with the budget and can act independently in the form of commissions and committees.
In most cases, however, the day-to-day business is the responsibility of the student council; therefore, the student parliament usually only has a say on very important or controversial topics.
FSP meetings
Meetings of the student parliament are not held regularly and are announced publicly at the university; there is usually a notice on the bulletin board in the Institute for Computer Science. You can also be added to a mailing list.
Proposals for the student parliament are to be submitted by email.
